WOMEN’S GROWTH GROUP COVENANT

CABUAY & BELTRAN spring 2026

The purpose of Growth Group is to draw us closer to God and to grow us as disciples of Christ. We do this by prioritizing Prayer and through the Study and Discussion of His Word, as well as the cultivation of Gospel-centered sisterhood.

READ THE COVENANT

As a member of this group, you are entering into a covenant with the other members to make this group a priority. You will be asked to commit to the following:

  1. Attend Wednesday Growth Group meetings regularly, striving to miss less than two Growth Group meetings this season as a direct exhortation from Foothill leadership: “And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.” (Acts 2:42)

  2. Attend Sunday’s Foothill Church services regularly — understanding that Growth Group is not a replacement for regular Church attendance: “…Not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.” (Hebrews 10:25)

  3. Prioritize study of the week’s sermon-based Bible passage and Sermon. Prepare a thoughtful response to your assigned Discussion Question and be ready to engage in Group Discussion every week: “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.” (2 Timothy 3:16–17)

  4. Pray for one another and be willing to volunteer to serve one another when there is a need or request within our Growth Group: “Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.” (Galatians 6:2)

  5. Strive to create relationships with all members of the group. Treat all members with kindness, grace, and respect, regardless of differences. Be willing to be assigned to any member of the group during assigned partner activities. “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” (John 13:34–35)

  6. Keep all conversations and prayer requests confidential. Avoid becoming: …gossips and busybodies, saying what they should not.” (1 Timothy 5:13)

  7. Pursue peacemaking, forgiveness, and reconciliation directly with a member if a problem arises between you and that member: “Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.” (Colossians 3:12–13)

  8. Be willing to be biblically accountable to leadership and to one another, open to receiving feedback and correction if needed. “Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness.” (Galations 6:1)
